Absolutely THE BEST OBGYN Doctor there is! Had to have a hysterectomy last year, and BLESSED to have Dr. Syal! Not 1 problem, because he is amazing at what he does!
Dr. Syal and Nurse Betty make an excellent team. Responsive and caring to patient's needs, I highly recommend this office.
Where do I begin? Firstly, don’t believe the rave reviews on Google for this entire establishment. Take the time to look up each doctors own personal reviews, specifically doctor everson’s reviews. Unfortunately, I only found her true reviews after I went digging because of the way I was treated- I was not shocked at all when I found the awful reviews. I’ll start from the beginning- they called me prior to my appointment and told me I’d be spending $250 with my insurance. I have great insurance, so of course I called my insurance and they said “no way is that correct” and my insurance called them, got it corrected to $50 before my appointment. The girls in charge of billing the insurance don’t care enough to take the time to make sure things are right. Secondly, I went in for my first ultrasound- dr.everson spent TWO minutes speaking with my boyfriend and I about the two babies I had apparently miscarried. TWO MINUTES she spent dropping those bombs on us and provided no further information- so I was left to go home and do nothing but Google what to do next. Her nurse didn’t call me back for 7 days- at this point she told me to bleed out for 6-8 more weeks and that all they could do was blood tests to monitor my HCG. This is not true- there is MUCH MUCH more they could be doing. I asked her to have dr. Everson call me back, she said dr. Everson doesn’t make phone calls…. In what world are you too important to make phone calls to your patients when they just miscarried two twins? Needless to say I’m not going back- I’m going elsewhere. I will not step foot into that place again. Dr.everson’s bedside manner was a joke. Go read her reviews for yourself.
Dr. Syal not only has excellent bedside manners, he is attentive, prompt, courteous, listens and has a great sense of humor. I will continue to use him for all my well woman needs so long as he is in practice.
I am 700 dollars in debt, because the people behind the desk were too lazy to call my insurance company prior to a procedure. This association told me they would call me beforehand if the procedure would be over $25. Save your money, and go else where. There are tons of fantastic gynos in the Woodlands/Houston.
Unfortunately my experience was less than stellar for the wellness checkup. I am unsure if it was just a bad day, or if it is the norm. The receptionist and the nurse were both nice and accommodating. However the rest of the visit was rather unpleasant. Despite showing up 15 minutes early, the appointment started close to an hour late, which understandably put the doctor in a rush. This rush led the doctor to come off as, well rushed. I really didn't feel like a patient so much as another number to get through. I will be honest that he did make an attempt to open up for questions and comments, however at no point did I feel like he cared or was particularly interested. He asked minimal questions and provided minimal feedback. Because of this the exam itself was very uncomfortable. I was nervous to begin with and made that very clear, and the rushed nature of the situation made it that much more difficult to get comfortable. The doctor even made a joke at my expense at the beginning of the exam, making it even more difficult to relax. Fortunately it was a quick exam, but it was painful and extremely unpleasant. Once it was over it was a simple "you'll get the results by the end of the week, thanks for coming in, bye" and that was that. I am an understanding person and can understand that maybe it was an off day and playing catchup is never fun. First impressions are important but I believe in 2nd chances, and was going to let the above transgressions pass as an off day. Unfortunately I had a trip to visit a friend the next day, and after arriving I ended up with a fever and had to go to an urgent care. It turns out I had a UTI. I've never had a UTI before, and between the exam and traveling to my friends, there was nothing else that could have caused it. So this caught me off guard. It is one thing to rush a patient because you are falling behind, and hey, I get it, these things happen. But it is entirely another thing to not take the time and preparation to ensure a clean environment for testing. I wish I can join the other 5 star reviews, but unfortunately this experience will have me looking elsewhere.
The doctor and ultrasound technician are wonderful, but each time there is 45-60 minute wait. The front desk ladies do not smile. Be prepared for long long wait time.
The staff is wonderful. Dr. Westmoreland is incredible. The entire office is supportive and willing to help or educate.
